(Centennial, Colo. March 1,, 2012)- Columbine Label Company, Inc. is the official sponsor of the 2012 Scovie Awards, the world’s largest spicy food competition, at Sandia Resort and Casino in Albuquerque, March 2-4.

The Scovie Awards honors the best spicy and savory food products as they are put to the test and awarded based on the product’s heat or Scoville Scale number.

“We are proud to sponsor this event for our second year and exhibit for our seventh year,” said Columbine Label president Greg Jackson. “It’s thrilling to see our custom label clients as participants in this weekend’s challenge.”

Columbine Label Company Invests in High-Tech Digital Press Equipment

(CENTENNIAL, Colo. January 24, 2012) – Columbine Label Company, Inc. has expanded its label options for customers with a HP Indigo WS4500 Digital Press.  The custom label producer hired four new employees who specialize in running, managing and supporting the equipment, an almost 30 percent increase in company growth.

Columbine Label is one of only three printing companies in Colorado to own an HP Indigo WS4500 Digital label press and the only one with traditional Flexographic Label printing capabilities and the HP Indigo Digital advantage.   The combination of traditional flexographic label capabilities and digital printing offers our customers more versatile options and allows Columbine Label to handle jobs not typically suited for shorter run digital printing.

Columbine Label Company Gives Back to Community

(CENTENNIAL, Colo. December 16, 2011) – For the fourth year in a row, Columbine Label Company, Inc. has given back to the community with donations to the Arapahoe County Adopt-a-Family Program through the Arapahoe County Department of Human Services.  The custom label producer encourages their employees to donate and the company matches funds dollar for dollar.

Identified families of the Adopt-a-Family program generally consist of children and adults who have been victims of abuse and neglect, or are experiencing financial hardship.

The company holds an Industry Level Sponsorship and will provide pre-printed keg collars for the 466 U.S. breweries exhibiting at the event.

This is the second year the company has sponsored the GABF because a large portion of the beer industry turns to the Columbine Label for its printing and manufacturing services. Columbine prints keg collars, keg wraps, promotional labels and bottle labels.

Columbine Label Hires New Estimating And Project Manager Brett Borzsei

(CENTENNIAL, Colo. August 26, 2011) – Columbine Label Company, Inc. recently hired Brett Borzsei in the newly created position of Estimating and Project Management. His responsibilities will include inventory control, product shipping coordination, working with material vendors, preparing estimates for the sales team and oversight of production flow activities.

Borzsei, originally from Niles, Mi., is a recent graduate of Western Michigan University (WMU). He specialized in print science and business technology within the Department of Paper Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Imaging. Prior to his enrollment at WMU, Borzsei received a certificate from the College of Technology at Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Mi., with a minor in the field of technology. His concentration was in technology, web animation and digital graphic design.
